Feinstein Offers $1 Million Giveaway To Fight Hunger

For the ninth straight year, Alan Shawn Feinstein will divide $1 million among hunger fighting agencies nationwide using it to help them raise funds during March and April.  Feinstein Leadership Schools throughout Rhode Island are also joining in this effort.

In 2005 Fair Haven Concerned raised $3,470 in local contributions supplemented by the Feinstein grant to total $3,754! Let's see how much we can do this year to help our neighbors!

Donations, both cash and food items, made to the FHC food shelf during the months of March and April will be reported to the Foundation. The Foundation will in turn divide $1,000,000 proportionately among all participating agencies.

Only cash check and food item donations received from March 1st to April 30th using the Feinstein challenge should be reported.  Food items should be valued at $1.00 per item for reporting purposes. Feinstein’s past $1 million challenges to fight hunger have raised a record $480 million for agencies nationwide.
