Food Backpacks sponsored by FHC

Food backpacks are to help feed the children in our school who do not have enough food
and are hungry over the weekend.
The school nurses at FHGS (Fair Haven Graded School) are shopping for the food with the money donated by FHC.
We had discussed it as part of the VT Foodbank program,
but it is our understanding that they did not want to take on any more schools for this year.
So FHC (Fair Haven Concerned) decided to do it ourselves.
The nurses felt it was important to have healthy food as an option.
They have decided to shop weekly for fresh produce.
I do not have the exact numbers of children being fed, but it is a good program.
Very exciting!
